The Transitional Year Program at The University
of Texas-Houston Medical School was designed to provide a broad clinical
experience for physicians needing such training for subsequent graduate
education in a selected field, and for physicians as yet undecided
as to a specialty. This yearlong ACGME accredited program has a well-deserved
reputation for excellence. The program's home base, the Lyndon B.
Johnson General Hospital, affords trainees access to excellent teaching
by dedicated faculty, the opportunity to work with a large and diverse
patient population, and the experience of a public health care institution.
This site, coupled with the other outstanding hospitals affiliated
with The University of Texas-Houston Medical School, provides a broad
yet balanced clinical experience. This website has been designed to
answer the most commonly asked questions about our program. Once you
have learned about us, I strongly encourage you to visit our faculty
and facilities in order to fully appreciate the programs we offer
at The University of Texas-Houston Medical School. |
